Q:How do I collect the mail or parcels sent by my family or friends?


I.Registered mail and parcels:

  • The Documentation Section will send a notification to the recipient of collecting his/her mail or parcel at the Section. Or, the Documentation Section will send the mail or parcel to his/her dormitory management office, and the manager will notify him/her of collection (the notification will be announced on the website of the Documentation Section).
  • II. Ordinary mail

  • The Documentation Section will send the mail to the dormitory management office, and the dormitory superintendent will send the mail to the recipient’s mailbox. Or, the Documentation Section will send the mail to the recipient’s department, and the department assistant will deliver the mail to the recipient’s class mailbox.
  • III.Notices:

    1. Please ask your family or friends to write down your dorm room number or your department and class on the envelope.
    2. Please show your student ID card or a valid identity document to collect your registered mail.
    3. Please collect your registered mail at the designated location within two weeks of notification. The registered mail will be returned to the sender if you fail to collect it within two weeks of notification.

    How is mail handled by the Documentation Section?

    How do students collect the books they ordered from a publisher?


  • Please ask your publisher to write down your dorm room number or your department and class on the envelope.
    1. Please show your student ID card or a valid identity document to collect your registered mail.
    2. Please collect your registered mail at the designated location within two weeks of notification. The registered mail will be returned to the sender if you fail to collect it within two weeks of notification.

    Q:Notices for Students


    Books ordered from publishers will be sent to the bookstore on campus.

    1. For more information, please contact the bookstore at ext. 2563.
    2. In terms of payment related to keys to dorm rooms, vehicles, and air-conditioning at borrowed spaces, please contact the unit-in-charge first and make payment at the Cashier Section with the application form issued.

    I.Student mail Handling: mail Q&A


      1. The recipient’s address must be complete and correct (e.g. Recipient: Mr./Ms. XXX of the Department of XXXX; Address: No.1, Sec. 1, Syuecheng Rd., Dashu District, Kaohsiung City 840301, Taiwan, R.O.C.). Students who reside in dormitories must ask your family or friends to write down your dormitory building code (A, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, J, or K).
      2. 2. Collection Period: Registered mail and parcels will be returned to senders if recipients fail to collect them within 14 days of announcement or notification.
      3. Please show your student ID card or a valid identity document when collecting your registered mail or parcels. If you ask another person to collect your registered mail or parcels on your behalf, he/she is required to show his/her valid identity document as well.
      4. mail and parcels with a detailed dormitory address will be delivered by dormitory superintendents.
      5. Students who are not dormitory residents may collect their mail or parcels from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

      II.Faculty & Staff mail Handling:

      mail (including prompt delivery mail and printed papers):

      1. They will be delivered to the mailbox of the unit the recipient belongs to.
      2. Registered mail and parcels:

      3. The Documentation Section will keep a record of registered mail and parcels first and notify recipients of collection.

      III. Notices of Sending mail


      Main Campus:

      1. Please send official mail at the Documentation Section by 3:30 p.m.
      2. Please seal the envelope with glue or twin adhesive tape instead of staples or tape.
      3. Please check mail carefully (including the sender’s and the recipient’s names and addresses, the unit the sender belongs to, the zip code, and the type of mail)
      4. If you want to send a personal mail, please send it at the post office or at the Documentation Section with sufficient postage attached.

        The envelopes and letters available at the Documentation Section are western style.
